When invited to participate in the project, the owner/developer had already completed a substantial proportion of the hotel construction. However, add architects were asked to undertake the design and implementation of two special buildings to compliment those already existing. The first of these, Bajau Villa, was a 3-4 bedroom unit with its own private swimming pool. Next was the Wantilan building housing again 3-4 bedrooms and suites. This had a dedicated pool separate from the main hotel pool. In each case the client’s brief was to construct these buildings using re-cycled Ulin wood and bamboo roofing material in keeping with the earlier buildings in the development. Earlier, add architects had designed the main hotel swimming pool between the main building housing reception, restaurant and lounge and the cliff edge. Add architects also designed the hotel administrative offices and added some refinements to the, then incomplete, Jurang Villa.
